HOW DOES SLURRYTUB WORK?

On the job, SLURRYTUB is a straightforward piece of kit.
It uses a single-use biodegradable filter that is placed into the tub and secured down by attaching the 4 holes into the cleats.
Slurry waste is then poured into the tub, hand tools and equipment can be washed down with the runoff flowing into the tub. The filtered water is then drained safely in washout areas or recycle on the job. Most of the water should drain within 30-60 minutes depending on the slurry contents. When dry enough, dispose of the hardened waste, along with the biodegradable filter into the work site skip at the end of the day. Way too easy!

SLURRYTUB FAQ'S

We may have already answered your question, if not please feel free to contact us we are here to help.

WHAT IS THE WATER CAPACITY OF THE SLURRYTUB?

The SLURRYTUB can hold up to 35 - 40L of wet trade waste material.
We know that this will be enough for your standard wheelbarrow washout.
However, if greater capacity is needed on your jobsite, we suggest having another tub ready to go! Our twin kit is perfect for higher volume requirements!

HOW EFFECTIVE IS THE SLURRYTUB FILTERING PROCESS?

The SLURRYTUB can hold up to 35 - 40L of wet trade waste material.
We know that this will be enough for your standard wheelbarrow washout.
However, if greater capacity is needed on your jobsite, we suggest having another tub ready to go! Our twin kit is perfect for higher volume requirements!

WILL MY WHEELBARROW BE ABLE TO STAND UP IN THE SLURRYTUB WITHOUT ME HOLDING IT?

The cut-out at the front of your SLURRYTUB has been specifically tested & designed to support the most commonly available wheelbarrows.
Your wheelbarrow should rest ‘hands-free’ in the SLURRYTUB front cut-out. You should have no problem washing out your barrow with ease.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR THE SLURRY CONTENTS TO DRY AND HOW DO I DISPOSE OF THE HARDENED WASTE?

Typical drying time will be around 30 mins to 60 mins. However, this will vary depending on the contents of the washout material.
Once the waste has hardened, simply empty the contents and the biodegradable filter into the site skip bin or take the contents off-site and dispose of them safely in accordance with environmental guidelines.

WHERE DO I LET THE FILTERED WATER DRAIN?

You should always allow filtered water from the SLURRYUTB drain into a protected wash up area or be captured and then recycled on the job.
This a great way to increase water savings on your jobsite.

CAN I USE SLURRYTUB WASH-UP AFTER TILING, RENDERING, AND PLASTERING?

Yes! The low-micron-rated paper filter used in SLURRYTUB can be used for these types of wash ups.
However, we don’t recommend it for use with paint, adhesives or waterproof membrane.

HOW DO I ATTACH THE SLURRYTUB FILTER TO THE TUB?

Carefully remove the filter from the ZIPLOCK bag and open out the filter, keeping the flap with the logo at the front of the tub.
Once the filter is placed into the tub, carefully attach the filter holes to the ‘cleats’ on each corner of the SLURRYTUB.
Make sure the filter flap is at the front and sits over the lower cut out area on tub.
